The Great Beyond 2025

The Great Beyond 2025

Welcome to Year 5. We continue our efforts to curate line ups of the very best in psychedelic house and techno music. This year’s line up features contemporary techno heroes, genre-defining legends, and counterculture icons. Tickets are available now.

2025 AT A GLANCE:
Year 5 is major year of transition for us. Aside from the new paint job, things have been tuned under the hood as well. The Communion stage has now been renamed Meta Ta Physika to honor our annual party in Detroit. We are happy to welcome back the mighty Void Acoustics by Champion Sound, as well as lighting by Orbital Operations.

Another major change, The Chillout (-adjacent) stage has been renamed Over Yonder, with TGB team on musical curation this time around! Bound Space is a local A/V collective has been part of our festival each year. Their recognition is long overdue, and this year we intend to give it to them. Once again, they’ll manage their own unusual space of wonders, as well as assist with production on Over Yonder, while The People’s Sound handle audio duties, with their hybrid system of Electro Voice, and JBL. Additional lighting byStatic.

We stand by all of our bookings, but here are some musical highlights to consider on our main stage:

On Friday night, expect face-melting sets from the likes of Mary Yuzovskaya and Takaaki Itoh. We also welcome Sandwell District (Function & Regis) for an extended set to celebrate their new album “END BEGINNINGS.” Midwest legend Justin Aulis Long is on sunrise duty.

Saturday evening, we kick things off with Minneapolis boy band Marijuana Deathsquads. The live sets roll on through the night from local hero Lonefront and…Luke Slater aka Planetary Assault Systems. Luke couldn’t make it in 2022 due to visa issues, but now he’s finally able to make it up to us with a rare North American live appearance. Wata IgarashiandRrose are teaming up for their first ever, exclusive…hybrid live/DJ performance.

Sunday morning…for those still standing, Eris Drew. There’s a few people we’ve been after since year one, and Eris was one of them. She’s finally here, and she’s playing an extended set at sunrise. As always, expect pancakes once someone is sober enough to make them.

Closing out the main stage on Sunday night is often considered by many as the time slot of the festival. It’s all about storytelling, which is sadly becoming a dying art in the DJ world, making this a very difficult slot to fill. We ultimately decided to go with someone as passionate about the music as we are. So…we’ve chosen a rising talent from France named Quelza for closing duties.

Lastly, Rrose will close down Over Yonder this year. Expect a ritualistic sound bath of ambient moods, dissonant tones, and more. Artistically, Rrose has been given carte blanche to play however they prefer.
